Down in the strawberry patch...

Strawberry farmers Jason and Fiona McIntyre began supplying fresh strawberries to Waitoki locals in the summer of 2007.

With the help of a small team, Passionberry Fields employs local people to plant, nurture and harvest thousands of sweet, juicy strawberries.

With a reputation for having the best stawberries around, Passionberry Fields celebrated great success when in the first year their strawberries were sought after by celebrity chef Alison Holst and visiting rockstar Justin Timberlake.

Family pets Rusty the boxer dog and Fennic the feline cat also help out in the patch by keeping birds at bay and entertaining the pickers with tricks.

When they're not growing strawberries, the McIntyre's run other business ventures and tend to their small herds of cattle on their lifestyle farm.
